HEADWATER HOMES, LLC. - Building Smarter in the Low Country

Mission Statement:   To provide a positive building experience for the customer, ie: satisfaction

satisfaction = solid experience + customer service
and
satisfaction = communication + feasibility

      Often the first thing we get asked is how much? This is where we need to really understand the buyers' expectations. And then, is it financially or structurally feasible? If not, what alternative options are acceptable?

So, how do we implement the above Mission Statement? How do you truly provide satisfaction?

Before we Build:    We need to understand what the buyers' objectives are. Is this a vacation or full-time home? How long do you plan on owning it? What options are "must-have"? Is your family growing or shrinking? Is a down-stairs Master Bedroom necessary? Is formal dining important? Do you need a gourmet kitchen? What "cosmetic" features are important to you? Is a home with an unfinished upstairs acceptable? Are there width or depth considerations due to lot dimensions? These factors along with basics such as desired square footage, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms and price range all need to be examined.

The Building Process:    Professional supervision is key here. Once a home is under contract we order plans, provide any necessary engineering, apply for permits then prepare the site for foundation and/or piers for the home. The home is built in a factory controlled environment and is delivered and set by the experienced, insured crew provided by the manufacturer. Many of the frustrating issues encountered in site-built construction are eliminated as weather is much less of a factor and factory scheduling is much tighter. The construction work is performed by reliable employees who are experienced at their particular task. The delivery and the finish build completion of the home is supervised by the licensed supervisor of Headwater Homes, LLC.

The Completed Build:    This is the most rewarding stage. The finish build tasks include interior painting, setting HVAC, completing electrical work, addressing well, septic and/or utility requirements and any finish site prep / landscaping which may have been contracted.

After the Build:   It is our goal that by now the buyer has a home they are excited about and proud of; that they did not experience any unpleasant surprises or are left with any unresolved issues.

Additionally, any feed-back before, during or after the build is appreciated. Any feed-back you might care to give at this time, while taking the time to read this, is also appreciated.
